The role
As a Backend Engineer, you take ownership of core product features from day one and build solutions end-to-end in a pragmatic, fast-moving team.

What you’ll do
- End-to-end development and ownership of new features (backend-first, from architecture to production)
- Design and scale systems handling millions of medical-device documents
- Ship production-ready code using TypeScript, NestJS, and MongoDB
- Ensure quality through automated tests (Jest) and CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, Azure)
- Collaborate closely with frontend, QA, and customers
- Take responsibility for performance, security, and compliance
What you bring
- Several years of experience with TypeScript / Node.js in a SaaS product
(Bonus: experience with NestJS, MongoDB, ReactJS, Docker, Kubernetes, or regulated environments such as MedTech, Pharma, or HealthTech) - Cloud experience with Azure, AWS, or GCP
- Strong ownership mindset: you think in problems and solutions, not tickets
- Pragmatism: you build what delivers real customer value now
- Enjoy working with responsibility, speed, and in a dynamic environment
- Very good English skills
- German is a plus, especially for customer context in the DACH region
